Before You Start Your Application: A Quick Guide
- Getting Ready
Take a moment to look through the application so you know what information you will need. Anything marked with a red star is required. If you plan to write longer answers, it helps to draft them in another document and paste them in. Some browsers may time out if the page is left open too long, and certain security settings may block pop‑up alerts.
- About the Personal Statement Questions
The application has three personal statement questions. These help us understand more about you - your background, why you are applying, and what you hope to do next. Your answers should include enough detail to help us get to know you. About 4–6 sentences per question usually works well.
- Employment History Information
Please list your two most recent jobs, even if they are not related to construction or the marine trades. This helps us understand your experience and any transferable skills. We do not contact previous employers; this information is used only to support your application.
- What Happens After You Submit
- When you click “Submit Application,” you will be taken to a confirmation page.
- From that page, you will have the option to pay the $200 tuition deposit.
- You will also receive a thank you email confirming that your application was submitted.
